Mindrift is looking for skilled Full-Stack Web App Developers (JavaScript/TypeScript + Python or Node) to join the Tendem project (Tendem.ai) and build interactive browser-based applications in a hybrid AI + human environment. The role (“AI Pilot”) involves collaborating with Tendem Agents that handle repetitive tasks, while the developer provides full-stack engineering expertise, architectural judgment, and quality control to ensure web apps are functional, robust, and ready for real users.
Responsibilities include: designing, building, and refining interactive browser-based applications with real logic, state, persistence, and user input; developing frontend apps using modern frameworks (React, Next.js, Vue or similar) and backend APIs (Python/FastAPI/Flask or Node/Express); implementing data models/schemas/persistence using SQL (PostgreSQL, SQLite) or NoSQL; adding authentication, sessions, and role-based access where needed; integrating third-party APIs and AI/LLM services (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.); managing state, validation, error and loading states; building standalone Python tools and scripts for data processing, API clients, or lightweight utilities; evaluating AI-generated code and refactoring for correctness, security, performance, and maintainability; and writing clear, testable code while debugging end-to-end issues across frontend, backend, and database.
Requirements/experience: at least 3 years of relevant full-stack development experience; strong foundation across frontend frameworks, backend architecture, interactive browser-based apps shipped end-to-end; strong command of JavaScript/TypeScript and a modern frontend framework; solid backend experience in Python (FastAPI, Flask, Django) and/or Node (Express, NestJS); relational database experience (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQLite) and basic schema design; REST API development with validation, error handling, and authentication flows; familiarity with deployment platforms (Vercel, Netlify, Render, Fly.io, Railway, etc.); experience integrating LLM APIs is a strong plus; comfort with Git and basic testing; attention to detail and commitment to production-ready work; self-directed ability to architect/build/ship features; portfolio of shipped web applications; English proficiency at B2+.
Workload: part-time freelance with estimated 10–20 hours/week during active phases.
