Senior Full Stack Engineer

Join a lean, high-leverage engineering team building legal/compliance SaaS software. The role is to help evolve the org toward an AI-native software development process, using AI tooling as a real engineering collaborator to automate repetitive work while focusing human judgment on complex problems.

Responsibilities include:

• Improve internal developer workflows using AI to ship faster, automate regression coverage, and maintain code quality.
• Design, build, ship, and support full-stack systems end to end.
• Deliver cross-functional solutions spanning AI, modern web tooling, data stores, and backend platforms.
• Write scalable, reusable code that is easy to maintain.
• Ensure software works well across browser and mobile.
• Add automated test coverage as part of new work.
• Participate in an on-call rotation.
• Collaborate with architects and peers on system design, dependency choices, and long-term maintainability.
• Balance time between new features and keeping existing systems healthy.
• Communicate clearly with non-engineering stakeholders.
• Mentor junior engineers and help set technical direction.

Requirements include:

• 7+ years of professional software development delivering and supporting production systems.
• Demonstrated experience improving team shipping practices using modern AI tooling.
• Hands-on experience using AI coding agents (e.g., Claude Code, Codex) regularly.
• Experience applying AI tooling to large-scale refactors, modularization, and code analysis.
• Solid Python/Django experience.
• Solid React experience.
• GraphQL experience (Apollo Client and/or Relay).
• Comfort writing unit test coverage.

Nice to have:

• AWS, Docker, Terraform.
• MongoDB or PostgreSQL.
• Git.
• Integrations (e.g., O365, DocuSign, REST APIs, Salesforce, SAML 2.0, Zapier).
• Monitoring/alerting tooling.

Compensation includes USD $135,000–$185,000 (DOE) plus equity grant appropriate to the role.
